The Southeast Japanese School & Community Center was founded in 1925 as a cultural institute to promote the Japanese language and culture. The Center, originally known as Norwalk Gakuen, began as a Japanese language school and was renamed Southeast Gakuen in 1967. Presently, we offer a variety of Japanese cultural classes and activities for all ages. We are a non-profit organization and all of our activities are open to anyone regardless of race or religion. Membership dues are required for participation in the classes.
